I decided to run because I watched our city leadership forget a fundamental truth: they are employees of the constituents. When decisions are made without us whether it is raising our water and waste rates without community feedback or giving preferential treatment to big businesses and insiders, it is our neighborhoods that pay the price. I have seen leaders refuse to take a stand on critical issues like data centers and ICE in our communities, while ignoring the very people they represent. There is an idea being spread that if you were not born and bred here in Azusa, your voice does not count. I am running to change that. I believe every single resident matters, and I will bring real community engagement, transparency, and respect back to city hall.
As I connect with neighbors across our community, one thing stands out above all else: we need better communication between our local government and the people it serves. My platform will always be the voice of the people, shaped directly by your concerns, your ideas, and your daily lives.
